Hi there Everyone!!Our school library seems to be off to a great start this year. I know there are a few new teachers here at Burch Elementary this year that may not know how well our Accelerated Reader program works, but be assured that it will keep going. So far everyone is doing great. The students are checking out some really great books and are making progress with their percentages. Remember parents that reading to your child will make all the difference in how well your child does in their reading. Encourage your child to read every day, even if it's just for a few minutes. Every little bit counts. Please, if you have any questions about the Accelerated Reader program, feel free to just ask me. I will help in any way I can. Keep On Reading! | |

I would love to see Burch Elementary purchase the new software Renaissance Parent Connect. This software keeps parents connected about their child's activity at school when they test on a AR book by sending an email to them stating what book they read, what score they received on the book, and also how many points they have met up to that date. I really think that this would be a great program that a lot of parents will find very rewarding to stay involved with their children. You can view more about the program at www.renlearn.com/ar/.
